Dutch Girl Dry Cleaners in Walnut Creek says business is down about 80 percent since the start of the shelter in place order but even with that being the case, they are trying to give back amid the coronavirus pandemic. Michelle Baughman who is the owner of Dutch Girl is offering free dry cleaning to healthcare workers and first responders.
Safety is of course also a priority. Orders are taken in at the front door. Garments are kept in bags and put directly into the machines to keep everyone safe. Everything that comes inside is being cleaned at high temperatures.
Michelle says the support from the community has been overwhelming. People are bringing in comforters and other big ticket items to help support Michelle and her business.
