Par 3 at Poplar Creek restaurant owner and head chef Alicia Petrakis had just taken over the San Mateo restaurant and bar a year ago, and is now feeling the effects of the coronavirus pandemic as Alicia and her 44 employees are now out of work.
But, in true Alicia style (she is a friend of the Morning Breeze), she is doing everything she can to try her employees out during this difficult time. When the pandemic first hit, Alicia thought she could cover the employees for a couple of weeks. But when she (quickly) realized this pandemic would last for a longer period of time, she had to do something.
Alicia started a Go-Fund-Me for her 44 out-of-work employees. So far she has raised just over $3,000 but she has a ways to go.
