Pleasant Hill business owner Alex Khodadad said that he wanted to do something to help the local businesses in his town that were all of a sudden struggling to stay open when the coronavirus pandemic hit the Bay Area, so he created a Facebook group where residents could not only find out what restaurants were still open but also ask questions and share information.
The Facebook group called "In and around Pleasant Hill FOOD TO GO during COVID-19, in Alex's mind, expected to gain about 300 followers. Now, he's over 3,000!
Alex is a realtor at Delphi Realty Group but lately, he devotes most of his time to this Facebook group. He goes to local restaurants in Pleasant Hill and interviews the owners and then posts the videos on the page. He also delivers food to people that must shelter-in-place and can't leave their homes and he does it all simply because he wants to give back.
