A Timeline Of What We've Been Buying Since The Start Of The Pandemic...

hand sanitizer

Doesn’t it seem like a year ago that stores began to run out hand sanitizer and disinfectants? Well, it's only been a few short weeks.

The numbers are in, and during the first week of March, hand sanitizer sales increased by 470%, and it wasn’t long after that you couldn’t find it anywhere.

Then the following week people began hoarding toilet paper, for reasons that are beyond us.

That same week sales of spray disinfectant spiked 519%. Weeks 3 and 4 saw a jump in the demand for yeast by 647%, as people took to baking bread and other baked goods for comfort.

That same period the demand for spiral hams climbed by 622%... higher than normal, even for Easter. People thought stores would run out.

Finally, during the first week of April, hair clippers and hair coloring products were in short supply. Clipper sales increased by 166%, and coloring products jumped 23%, as hair grew longer, and roots began to show with little hope of getting a hair styling appointment.

Jack Kulp and Carolyn McArdle talked about it on the air! Listen below...
