One of the heartbreaking results of the pandemic is the cancellation of so many high school graduations across the Bay Area and the country. Commencement ceremonies are either being made “virtual”,or cancelled all together.
Palo Alto and Gunn high school seniors have their own idea. Students at those schools have overwhelmingly supported POSTPONING ceremonies at those schools, and the school district has approved the idea. So instead of the usual June graduation ceremonies, they’ll be held off until December.
A firm date hasn’t been set yet. But they hope to hold the graduations when the now high school seniors will all be home from college for winter break.
