Vanessa Nguyen is a nurse at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She had just finished a 12-hour shift on Tuesday morning only to find that her bicycle had been stolen out of the garage in the cage with other bikes at work.
Vanessa posted her frustration on social media and ABC7 news reporter J.R. Stone then posted pictures of the bicycle on HIS social media accounts. The offers of bikes and cash.. dozens of them…poured in. She was amazed at the response, but it’s just the people of the Bay Area coming through. Again.
Long story short, she is now the proud owner of a new bicycle but it probably wouldn't have happened if it weren't for J.R. Stone sharing her photos. (Good job J.R.!)
