Giving Tuesday is a national attempt to help raise support due to the negative impacts of all of the non profits across the US.
Our friends at Marin Humane have obviously been affected by the shelter in place. One of their biggest fundraisers of the year, Woofstock, was supposed to take place in May and that event had to be cancelled.
The Illegals are a Bay Area band that cover the Eagles and they were also slated to perform this year at Woofstock and had to cancel which results in lost revenue for them as well.
So what Marin Humane is doing today on this “Giving Tuesday” is simply asking for donations. Whether you have $20 to spare or $200 or even $2000, they need your support. Your donations go toward keeping the animals in their shelter fed and cared for and happy. Every dollar makes a difference. Marin Humane was also lucky enough to secure a foundation to issue a $20,000 matching challenge!
