Two Bay Area Contestants Make It Into The Top 11 On "American Idol!"

It was a HUGE night on "American Idol" on Sunday night for two Bay Area residents who made it to the top 10...well, technically the top 11 as judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie used their “save” power to keep an extra contestant in the running.

Bay Area resident Grace Leer (from Danville) sang Judy Garland's "Over The Rainbow" from her home (Grace sang that song in her third-grade talent show). Grace usually does country and is the only country music contestant left on the show. It was a FANTASTIC performance but Lionel suggested that Grace hone in on the country fans in the audience!

Daly City's Francisco Martin did James Arthur's "Falling Like the Stars” and the judges loved it! Katy Perry was shedding tears by the end of the song and Luke Bryan, who has been in Francisco’s corner from the start, calls the College of San Mateo student a “diamond in the rough.”

The show continues on next Sunday at 8pm on ABC!
