We've certainly experienced cleaner air quality and better quality time with family in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and having to shelter in place.
Now, the Santa Clara county board of supervisors are actually planning on encouraging employees to continue working at home even after the shelter in place is over. It's a win-win: It’s good for the environment and it improves quality of life and you spend more time with your family.
However, there's the other side.... Some say that there's a lot of value in human interaction and sometimes the greatest ideas come from water-cooler talk.
A recent study suggested 50% of employees say they actually do want to continue working at home. And experts predict that employers are going to have to entice or incentivize their employees to come back to work. 48% of people actually say they would take a pay cut to continue working from home!
