Here’s a positive sign of things easing up a bit. The people of San Mateo might soon be able to dine at restaurants. The only difference will be that the tables will be outside!
City officials have announced that B Street and 25th Avenue are two streets they’re considering shutting down to traffic for dining. This way restaurants in the area will be able to serve customers in a social distancing way. At least three restaurants in town have already shown interest in the idea. The same idea is also being discussed in other towns in the county. Redwood City and San Carlos, for example.
The timing couldn’t be better with the summer months straight ahead!
