We all know about the toilet paper shortage during the COVID-19 crisis. We all know about the hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes shortages.
Well, now comes the freezer shortage, and it’s kind of ridiculous when you think about it.
There’s really no reason for any of these to be in short supply. People stocking up on meat and frozen foods for no reason, have gotten all this stuff home and discovered that there’s no place to store it. So, where to keep the frozen pizzas & Hot Pockets? Stand-alone freezers that they don’t have. Consequently, there’s a back order on freezers from the appliance and big box stores. People who, three months ago, wouldn’t have even thought of buying a separate freezer, now want one. Suppliers now say the back order is now about a month.
