Yosemite National Park May Reopen As Soon As Early June!

Here’s some great news for you if you look forward to a trip to Yosemite during the summer months. The park may reopen as soon as early June! Yeah, there will be plenty of restrictions, but hopefully you’ll still be able to get to the park this summer!

Yosemite National Park drew 4.4 million visitors last year, but closed on March 20th as the pandemic hit. Some limits when the park reopens: Park shuttle busses will not run in the Yosemite Valley. Visitors will be encouraged, but not required, to wear masks, and bathrooms will be cleaned more often. Limits to the number of people allowed into the parks will change daily, and that number is available on the National Parks website. The Ahwahnee Hotel and Yosemite Valley Lodge will fully reopen.

Yellowstone, Grand canyon, and Joshua Tree national parks reopened in a limited way this week.
