Bay Area Performer On "Songland" Is Making Us So Proud!

Kylie Rothfield from Danville has made it all the way to the finals on NBC's "Songland" and we couldn't be more proud!

Kylie grew up writing poetry and considered it her therapy. At 12, she learned how to play the guitar and started putting her songs to music. She went on to major in music at Berklee College Of Music, received the Jack Maher Composition Scholarship and also won the Berklee Songwriting Competition.

Kylie appeared on Season 11 of “The Voice”(2016) (team Alicia keys) and co-wrote five songs for the Season 10 winner, Alisan Porter.

Now she's on "Songland" and a finalist for Season 2! You can watch her tonight (Monday) at 8pm on NBC at 10/9 Central.

Jack Kulp and Carolyn McArdle talked to Kylie about her experience on "Songland," working with Alicia Keys on "The Voice," and why she loves the Oakland Airport so much! Listen below...
