As people begin to return back to their normal lives, Google Maps has added a new feature that alerts users about coronavirus restrictions, health checks and even service updates that are relevant to where they are traveling to.
The new feature will have everything from transit schedules, mask-wearing requirements on public transportation and even alerts about COVID-19 checkpoints and restrictions!
Drivers will also get alerts about COVID-19 checkpoints and restrictions when crossing borders on both the directions screen and after the route has been started. Those notifications have begun in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
