Three weeks ago, 24-year-old college student Lenin Gutierrez’s was working at a Starbucks in San Diego when a customer came in without wearing a face mask. He pointed out the coronavirus rules, she left, and then criticized him on Facebook for refusing to serve her.
Another customer got word of the situation and started a Go Fund Me, hoping to raise $1000 for Lenin, who wants to become a dancer when he grows up.
The donations started coming in. $5.00. $10.00. $20.00 at a time. It added up. Quickly. That customer was able to deliver a briefcase full of cash, totaling $100,000 the other day!
“I [have] never seen anything like this except in the movies,” he said.
