Group Of Bay Area Bars Are Turning Into Liquor Stores To Stay Afloat!

A group of Bay Area bars have had to get creative to keep money coming in amidst the coronavirus pandemic: They are turning into mini liquor stores.

Future Bars group, which operates a group of popular, innovative San Francisco drinking spots, including Bourbon & Branch, Devil’s Acre and Local Edition, is planning to turn its bars into retail spaces where people can buy hard-to-find spirits like Japanese whiskeys and artisan mezcals. The first bar to make the change will be Devil’s Acre in North Beach, which will turn into Future Bars’ retail brand Cask.

Many Bay Area restaurants have had to morph into makeshift liquor stores following the on-going shelter in place orders.
