The Cliff House in San Francisco overlooking Ocean Beach and the Pacific Ocean announced the restaurant will close temporarily as of July 20th. This is the 1st time in 157 years that they've closed.
“Due to economic pressure during this unprecedented situation, we have concluded that it would be best to preserve our remaining resources to ensure a continuance of future operations,” the venerable restaurant announced Sunday on its Facebook page.
The announcement said take-out service would also end, at least temporarily, at the nearby Lookout Cafe.
