The, there’s El Garage in Richmond. El Garage opened up as a pop up in February of 2019. Now, the Montano sisters operate out of their home….a converted garage. Their specialty is their quesabirria taco. It’s best described as a quesadilla filled with Mexican beef stew, mozzarella cheese, broth, and salsa. How popular is the quesabirria? When they first started making these at their pop up, they sold out in an hour. The wait can be up to two hours. El Garage starts taking preorders on Wednesdays for pickup over the weekend.
