Have your tipping habits changed during the pandemic? For most people, the answer is "yes".
People who normally tip servers well are tipping even more during the lockdown. Some well meaning diners are even tipping more for take-out. Servers are now saddled with more responsibilities, besides making sure your food arrives quickly, and as ordered. They’re now taking diners’ temperatures, and enforcing the use of facemasks, which can be a risky business in cases of belligerent diners. Then there’s the matter of reduced restaurant capacity. Plus, servers have far fewer tables to wait on. Oh, and don't forget. They're risking their own lives to be on the job.
