Several of America’s richest towns are right here in the Bay Area.
At the top of the list, according to Bloomberg, is the town of Atherton, thanks to all the tech entrepreneurs who live there. The average annual income there is $525,000! Second is the New York suburb of Scarsdale, with an average income of $452,000. Other Bay Area towns to make the list are Hillsborough at #3, and #5 Los Altos Hills with average incomes of $400,000. In Atherton, the least expensive home is listed at 2.5 million.
