Crab season will be delayed yet again.
Commercial crabbing season, which usually begins around the middle of November was originally delayed until December 1st because authorities at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife were worried that lingering whales would get tangled up in crab fishing gear. Well, the whales decided to stay here longer, further delaying the crabbing season until at least December 16th.
