A neighborhood in Brentwood is turning holiday decorating into an ingenious fundraiser.
It’s called “Tunnels of Joy”, and it’s taking place in the Deer Ridge neighborhood. It lasts a month, and every penny collected will go to the family of a 14-year old boy with bone cancer. Visitors make cash donations, then walk through tunnels of light displays while wearing masks and keeping socially distanced.
“Tunnels of Joy” is named after Joy Bursch, who died of breast cancer in 2009, and dozens of homes take part in the annual event.
