Tahoe is preparing for a lot more tourists this winter because so many of us want to be able to get outside and do some form of socially distanced exercise but because ski resorts are having to limit how many tickets they sell on a daily basis, ski shops are seeing a much bigger demand for backcountry lessons. And as you know with backcountry skiing and snowshoeing, etc, the risk of avalanches is higher and you just risk being off the beat and path with less people around.
Avalanche education classes are selling out! Officials are also warning us that the Lake Tahoe hospitals don’t have that many beds, so please be extra careful!
