Crab season will finally be under way.
The original official opening of commercial crab fishing season was supposed to be November 15. B Because whales delayed their migration out of Northern California waters, officials were worried that whales would get tangled in the crabber’s gear. Now that the whales are on their way out, the new start to crab season is December 23rd.
