In snow country, one of things that many kids…and teachers…will miss this year, are snow days.
School districts would call a snow day..a day off from school…if it became too dangerous to get to school. Because the pandemic has moved most teachers and students indoors for distance learning, it’s not necessary to call a snow day because there’s no longer a need to drive or bus to school. More and more school districts are having none of that. In snowy districts, even if kids and teachers are distance learning, some districts are calling snow days anyway. They figure that snow days are a part of childhood, and they’re encouraging kids to go out and play in the snow.
