It’s called a murmuration of starlings, and it happens every afternoon at 4:30 on the nose, near the Northgate Mall in San Rafael. It lasts about thirty minutes. Thousands of the birds fly together creating patterns through the sky. The event draws crowds along 101. Check them out:
