Big changes coming to Costco.
All 800 Costco stores across the country are doing away with their photo departments. Services no longer at Costco will in include ink refills, passport photos, photo restoration, and video/photo transfer to digital.
Costco isn’t closing down its online Costco photo center.
Costco says the need to print photos has steeply declined. And the introduction of high-quality cameras on smartphones being able to post on social media, has reduced the need of photo services. The Costco photo departments will close on February 14th.
