Christine Bonavita of Norfolk, VA came up with a creative way to pass on her wedding rings to someone who might not be able to afford their own.
After Christine’s divorce she didn’t know what to do with the rings she thought she’d wear for the rest of her life. Some of her friends suggested she pawn them. Others thought she should just throw them in the ocean.
Instead, she took to social media and asked couples to share their love stories with her. Some of the submissions have actually brought tears to her eyes. She’ll give the rings to the author of the best love story. Christine wants the stories to be 250 words or less, must include the author’s full legal name and photo. It’s open to anyone 10 and older, and she’ll take entries until February 1st.
