For Target employees, this came as welcome news!
Target is giving its hourly workers a $500 bonus. Executive team leaders and salaried distribution center leaders will also get a bonus of between $1,000 and $2,000. Target management calls this an investment, and it amounts to about $200 million.
Last summer, Target began increasing the minimum wage for their employees by 2 dollars an hour to an industry leading $15 dollars an hour.
This is the fifth time Target has issued bonuses to its workers during the pandemic.
