From now on, masks will be mandatory on all public transit in the U.S.
Up until now, it was up to local jurisdictions to set a requirement. The regulation will now be enforced on a federal level. Masks will be required on planes, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ferry terminals and ride share service. Masks will not be mandatory in personal cars.
Children two and under won’t be required to wear a mask.
