Here's How hard Work Can Make Dreams Come True

ISS International Space Station

To say that Jose Hernandez is an inspiration for younger people would be an understatement.

Jose worked the produce fields of the Central Valley with his parents when he was a young boy. He and his parents would spend nine months in California, and three months in Mexico. His family eventually settled in Stockton, and Jose spent time in three different school districts. He gravitated toward math, and was accepted to The University of the Pacific.

By then he knew he wanted to be an astronaut. He applied, and was rejected by NASA 11 times. On his 12th try he was accepted, and spent 14 days on the International Space Station.

Netflix is planning to start production of a film about Jose’s life.

Jack and Carolyn talked about this on the Morning Breeze. Listen here:
