Lisa Racine of St. Paul hadn’t seen her 87 year-old father since the pandemic hit. He’s in a nursing home. Like most homes, the visitation rules are pretty strict…even for family members.
Lisa decided to take things into her own hands, and came up with a (perfectly legal) way to skirt the rules. She got a part-time job at the nursing home! That, with a full-time job at a printing company, she’s kept pretty busy. But she’s able to see her dad.
Her part-time job at the home includes mopping floors, washing dishes and serving food. But she arrives early every day so she can spend some time to check in on her Dad. It could be 10 to 90 minutes.
