UC Davis is trying to keep students in the town of Davis during spring break.
The university will be paying students $75 to keep them from travelling out of state during the break. Out of state travel is one of biggest virus spreaders. The $75 dollar grant is made possible through a partnership with the city of Davis. The only requirement is that the money must be spent in the city of Davis. Spring break runs March 22nd through the 26th.
Some universities across the country are even shortening their spring breaks to encourage students to remain on campus.
