It was supposed to be the best day of their life! Marlee Kent and her soon-to-be husband Andrew were getting married in Lake Tahoe. They were exchanging rings on a dock and when Andrew went to put the rind on Marlee's finger, he accidentally dropped it and it fell through a crack in the dock and into the Lake Tahoe water!
The couple proceeded with the ceremony (without the rings of course) and afterward, found a Facebook group called "Tahoe Scuba Diving." That's where they met Phill Abernathy, the founder of the group.
The next morning, Phill took his scuba gear out and dove into the lake. Within 30 minutes, he came up with the ring in his hand! (Talk about a needle in a haystack!)
The Washington State couple was obviously BEYOND grateful and says that their trips to Lake Tahoe in the future will be extra special now.
