A police officer in Finland is being hailed a hero thanks to a video that surfaced that shows him saving a swan stuck in a fishing net.
It's not just the rescue itself that is getting attention. It's the fact that the officer stripped down to his underwear and a T-shirt to rescue the swan from the net!
The officer was able to free the swan from the net with no harm inflicted on either the bird or himself.
The whole ordeal began when a citizen reported an injured swan on Lake Pielavesi off the island of Kirkkosaari. An onlooker can be heard saying, "Thank you!" as the officer walks off the scene.
Finally, the clip shows the swan as it swims off into the lake, sans fishing net.
