How much do you think it takes to be considered “wealthy’?
Well, as you might suspect, there’s a big gap between the national average and the Bay Area when it comes to be considered rich.
Nationally, you’ll need 1.9 million squirreled away to be thought of as wealthy, 1.1 million for “financial happiness”, and financially “comfortable”, about $640k.
For those of us in the Bay Area, those numbers really jump. $3.8 million, $1.8 million and $1.3 million.
