Now that the numbers are in, the value of agricultural production in Napa County in 2020 was about half of what it was the year before.
The value of grape production in Napa County, a big part of the total tally, dropped from 937 million in 2019 to 461 million in 2020. Translated, that means that the grape crop decreased by 60 thousand tons from the year before.
The drop is mostly due to drought, and last years’ wildfires.
