One thing that the lockdown has given us is time to get rid of the clutter. It seems like spring cleaning has lasted fifteen months.
So, donations to charities, like Goodwill, have skyrocketed. But these firms don’t accept all items, and it can get confusing. For the most part, they accept things like utensils, plates, accessories, household décor, gently used clothing, furniture, and bed frames. Books, toys, DVDs, video games, even cars make the OK list.
The items on the “thanks, but no thanks list” are pretty obvious: hazardous waste, mattresses, car seats, tires, older TVs, water heaters, and major appliances.
