Willie Ross is a pediatrician at Stanford Hospital. He also happens to be the proud father of two Major League baseball players, Joe & Tyson.
Joe happens to be a pitcher for the Washington Nationals. The Nationals were in town to take on the Giants over the weekend, and Willie was in the stands at Oracle. Good thing!
Dr. Ross noticed a woman nearby starting to choke on a piece of hotdog. He said “I saw her having some difficulties, and I saw her companion helping her out. I was watching, making sure she was OK . She needed some help. I don't think a lot of people knew what was going on because they were focused on the game."
The Doctor was able to use the Heimlich method to dislodge the food, and the woman was able to stay and watch the rest of the game!
