Paul McCartney On How He Came Up With “Sgt. Pepper” Name!

In the new Hulu documentary “McCartney 3, 2 1,” Paul McCartney explained where the album title “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” came from.

Paul remembers having a meal on a plane and asking one of The Beatles’ roadies to pass the salt and pepper. Except, the roadie thought he said, “Sergeant Pepper.” The rest, as they say, is history!
