Animal shelters in Tulsa, OK are so full, that they’re loading up a plane with more than 100 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens, and sending them to the Bay Area. The pets are being airlifted in a private jet provided by BISSELL Pet Foundation.
The jet will land at Hayward Executive Airport at 12:45 this afternoon.
Some of the Bay Area shelters that will be receiving the pets include Berkeley Humane, East Bay SPCA, Forgotten Felines, Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, Humane Society of Silicon Valley, Humane Society of Sonoma County, Marin Humane, North Bay Animal Services, Pets Lifeline, Placer SPCA, Sacramento SPCA, Santa Cruz SPCA, and Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.
