It turns out Tony Bennett’s recent Radio City shows with Lady Gaga will be his last. Earlier this week it was announced that only his CURRENT tour dates would be suspended. But yesterday it was revealed that he'll stop touring permanently.
Tony’s son/manager, Danny made the announcement citing “doctor’s orders” as the reason the crooner’s concert appearances have come to an end. Tony was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease last year, and recently celebrated his 95th birthday
Danny went on to say “There won’t be any additional concerts. This was a hard decision for us to make, as he is a capable performer. This is, however, doctors' orders. It's not the singing aspect but, rather, the traveling.”
