Home sellers in the Bay Area are in the driver’s seat, and home prices show it.
Sellers are asking for, and getting, $300,000 above the asking price on average. Not only that, some sellers are taking part of their homes, and leaving other parts that they should be taking with them.
For example, one seller wanted to take their granite countertops with them. Fortunately, the real estate agent talked them out of it. Another seller decided to take their built-in bookshelves and lights with them.
On the other side of the coin, some sellers are leaving some larger items behind. One seller left behind a pool table. Another left behind a huge sofa sectional. It’s up to the real estate agent to get rid of items left behind.
