More and more people can take “workations".....and they ARE! A workation is a working vacation that combines fun and productive time.
The most popular type of workation is a vacation extension, and is exactly what it sounds like. You take a week or two to vacation with your family, then add another week during which you’ll work remotely from where you’re vacationing.
To be sure, there are plenty of workation benefits. They allow you to travel for a longer period of time than a traditional vacation, for example.
There are drawbacks as well. Workations blur the line between leisure and work. So it’ll take a fair amount of discipline to work when you really want to play.
