Google Flights now has a new feature.
You might already use Google Flights to compare flights by layovers, price, and airline. Now, you can compare flights by carbon dioxide emissions.
Believe it or not, the carbon footprint increases when more people purchase tickets in first class or premium economy because those seats take up more space. The age of the plane also has an impact on the flights’ carbon footprint...the newer the plane, the more fuel efficient the plane will be.
