Would you believe there’s a shortage of veterinarian appointments now?
During the pandemic there was a spike in pet adoptions, so vet hospitals are overwhelmed right now, at least temporarily. Some vets are booking appointments months in advance, and some aren’t taking on new clients until January.
Your best bet is to call your vet now to make an appointment, and expect to book an appointment weeks in advance.
And if you’re planning on adopting another pet, check with your vet to see if they have time to accommodate a new pet.
