It's official, the Hallmark Channel has sacked the Kitten Bowl.
The playful game that showcased adoptable kittens in action has become a Super Bowl weekend staple, but now the Hallmark Channel doesn't think it's a "purrfect" idea.
The news was confirmed on the Hallmark Channel USA Facebook page. In the comments section, one person asked, “But where is the Kitten Bowl?” The account responded: “While we are not currently developing original animal-centric programming, Hallmark Channel is pleased to support partners like North Shore Animal League America as part of our commitment to social responsibility initiatives.”
Senior Vice President of operations for North Shore Animal League, Joanne Yohannan, expressed her disappointment on the cancellation but was "grateful" for donations via the Betty White Challenge.
