This summer you’ll need a reservation to visit Yosemite National Park.
It’s not because of COVID. It’s because of all the construction going on in and around the park. Between May 20th and September the plan is to limit the number of visitors by requiring online reservations.
This is the first time that reservations will be required in the park’s 157-year history, and it’s possible that the reservation system may become permanent.
Restaurants and hotels in the area have opposed this for years, fearing that the reservation system may cut into their revenues.
The reservation system will go into effect starting March 23rd at 8am. You can make reservations by clicking here.
