“West Side Story” actress will be at the Academy Awards after all.
Rachel Zegler who played Maria in the film was all set to watch the awards at home on Sunday night. One of her fans, through social media, asked Rachel what she was going to be wearing at the awards. She said “I’m not invited, so sweatpants and my boyfriend’s flannel”.
The Academy caught wind of the oversight, and made things right. Not only will she be at the ceremony, she’ll be a presenter!
“West Side Story” has been nominated for seven awards, including best picture, and best director for Steven Spielberg.
