It may seem like common sense, but if you want a good night’s sleep, it’s best to sleep in a completely dark room. According to new research, it doesn’t take much to disrupt your sleep, and disrupted sleep can lead to health problems.

The smallest amount of light hitting your eyelids is enough to move your nervous system into a more alert state keeping you from the deeper sleep you really need.
